Not everyones cup

Not for me but perfect for some people. Check it out. Its beautifully designed.

Fantastic game for mental gymnasts

This game really is hard. Im fed up with puzzles that can be cluelessly solved and this app definitely makes me bring out the big guns. To the app creator: keep up the good work! Oh and leave it at the tesseract - I wont be able to solve a hyper-octahedron.

Incredible

This is a perfect puzzle app, in terms of being something that isnt just a gimmick iPhone version of something that exists in a solid form. This requires thinking on levels that the human brain cannot easily do. Im a mathematician and I was challenged by this on the second difficulty. I gained an intuitive understanding of the structure of a tesseract where I previously only had an abstract one.

Good challenge!

Excellent app! Solved all 5 levels, but its well worth the price!

Brilliant

This is brilliant! Quite difficult, yes. This is definitely not for those who are not mathematically inclined. Tesseract is quite a mind bender, you need to be able to really think outside the box. Literally. Good on ya! Definitely worth the price. Cheers

Super hard but awesome on ipad2

Finally, a challenging puzzle game that you really, really have to take the time to think about. I love that it isnt like all the other mindless apps out there. Thank you, dev, you did a great job!

Difficult but amazing!

Although the description says that it is like a 4D Rubiks cube, it should be noted that its more like a 4D Rubiks cube that has had its corners and centers removed, leaving only the edges which, when bumped up a dimension, become faces. Nevertheless, this is one of the best puzzles I have ever played, and it is great if you are just beggining to comprehend a fourth spatial dimension.

Great game

Love this game it is really fun worth the 0.99

Absolutely Amazing!

I just installed the application yesterday, looking for a puzzle to truly challenge my mind. This application is what I was looking for. I have solved every kind of twisting puzzle that exists, and I was tired of three dimensions. I thought about trying a puzzle that functions in the same way as a twisting puzzle, but incorporates the theoretical mathematical functions of the 4th dimensional space to add another axis of rotation. I soon found how the puzzle functioned, and started to see the similarity of the puzzle to physical, three-dimensional puzzles that exist. The twisting tesseract can be compared, in three dimensions, to a 3x3 puzzle, only without the corners. It also functions similarly to a rubiks domino, a 3x3x2 puzzle. The puzzle displayed in the game can be solved using some of the same algorithmic functions to the Rubiks cube and domino, as well as some other puzzles. The only thing that set this puzzle aside is the additional axis of rotation, which allows some algorithmic sequences that cannot exist on physical puzzles. This adds another layer of difficulty, making it more rewarding to solve. The puzzle is truly remarkable, and is a must have for science, math, or physics students interested in the next dimension of space. Something to consider before attempting to solve any of the levels beyond level two is to learn how to solve a Rubiks cube as well as a few other puzzles in the same category. These puzzles are not as difficult as you may perceive them to be. Chances are, if you are unable to solve a cube, you will be unable to solve this puzzle. I am currently on level five, and I presume it will be no different than level four, only with additional colors. The price for this application is ridiculously small. If I had to put a price on it for what is is worth, I would definitely have to go with $9.99. If you cannot solve it, keep practicing.

Enjoyable, not as difficult as Id hoped.

I found this a quite enjoyable puzzle! The controls took a bit of getting used to, but are very smooth and easy once you learn them! I dont think it lived up to the hype when it comes to difficulty, but to be fair Im the sort of nerd who solves a 7x7x7 Rubiks cube repeatedly. The one change Id make: I wish it had defaulted to the hardest level, rather than automatically taking you to the easiest and letting you work up. The levels really build on each other, so that the second and final level seem about the same difficulty, if youve gone in order. Also, because youve had this nice, ordered approach to the solution, theres sadly not much need to solve it repeatedly: you already know all the moves by then. This is a good puzzle, it kept me for a few hours. If youre really looking for a challenge, skip to the hardest level!

Beautiful

Aside from what everyone has already said, the design is beautiful.
